Would you like to learn Dutch? NTI’s starters course teaches you the basis of the Dutch language when it is not sufficient yet. We offer two levels: Dutch for the vocationally and for the higher educated.

Dutch for foreigners for the vocationally educated

The course uses various exercises, a vocabulary list as well as a cd-rom. You will gradually learn to read and watch texts, newspaper articles, commercial leaflets and video’s. Enlargement of your vocabulary, apprehending the Dutch grammatical basis and spelling are the key elements of the course. You will learn to write letters and e-mails. Speaking is an inevitable and important element of the course and by using the cd-rom you will learn to pronounce the sentences and words correctly. The languages Spanish, French, Turkish, Arabic and English are available as a supporting cd-rom. This is a practical way of translating the word in question to one in your mother tongue. In order to receive feedback to your homework, your personal teacher will be correcting you lessons.

Dutch for foreigners for the higher educated

The course provides everything you need to learn Dutch and is supported by translations in your mother tongue. The course contains 45 lessons, a disc man, a summarized overview of the Dutch grammar, two cd’s with the audio version of the texts, as well as a cd-rom with exercises aiming to fill the missing blanks in the sentences. For this course you can order a practical glossary available in the following languages:

There is no specific level of knowledge required.

Aim of the course

Once you have completed the course, you have apprehended basic Dutch conversational skills. Having conversations about your family, work, and cultural subjects will go a lot easier. You will be able to read and write simple texts. You have reached the A2 intermediate level, as indicated in the guidelines of the Common European Framework of the European Union.

Receive your certificate after the course

After you have successfully completed the course it is possible to receive a certificate. On this certificate we mention the student’s positive enrollment in the course, as well as the grade average. We charge € 25 for a certificate.

Continue studying after the course Dutch for foreigners

After having successfully completed Dutch for foreigners it is possible to continue with the NT2 course Dutch as a second language. When you have followed the course for vocationally educated you can continue with the NT2 programme, state exam I. Students that have followed the course with the higher educated level can continue with the NT2 programme, state exam II.
